Lifting Systems

KMC lifting systems can be supplied according to customer requirements in polyethylene or reinforced concrete.  A wide range of shapes, heights and sizes allows us to offer a solution to every requirement. KMC lifting plants are convincing due to their extremely short construction times, flexibility, adaptability to the surrounding environment and quality.

Lifting systems can be supplied with different bottom types according to project specifications. Both the truncated cone and conical shape are manufactured in a single production process, making them much more efficient from a static point of view as well; this system is the guarantor for the longevity of the pumps and prevents the problems of detachment in the air/water exchange zone, well known to our competitors.

Monolithic systems can include all electromechanical equipment and machinery, including pumps, thus guaranteeing very fast commissioning.

Special executions in, stainless steel, anti-deflagrating EX or other are realised on request.

De-oiling is achieved by reducing the speed of the influent and preparing a calm zone in which the substances present, characterised by a lower specific weight than water, float up. The operation of oil skimmers can be traced back to the principles of sedimentation under the action of gravity: they act like sedimentation tanks in which the oily particles, instead of settling to the bottom, float to the surface.

Pressure boosters

Potable and industrial water pressure booster plants are made of reinforced concrete monoblocs with steel fibre. The installations consist of a monolithic tank, cover slab with cantilever plate, base for the electrical panel, extensions, stainless steel manhole with ventilation and ladder. All piping loops are manufactured according to design and guarantee a perfect seal. The bottom of the tank is made in graduated form and is equipped with a pump sump.

The constant in water supply

All systems can be supplied and commissioned very quickly.

DUCTS FOR HEAVY TRAFFIC TYPE
F900 SA-12

In airports, gratings can accidently disconnect from ducts and become a huge danger for airplanes as they can be aspired by turbines of the plane. For this reason more and more airport authority bodies are changing the traditional systems of ducts with gratings into ducts without gratings.

KMC pays always attention to the requests of the market and institutions and has developed a concrete slot duct for heavy traffic without grating.

The duct is being developed in prefabricated elements in reinforced “SCC” concrete having minimum quality of C50/60 B6 XA2T with compressive strength Rck > o = 60 N/mm2 according to EN 206-1:2001 point 4.3.1 and having a resistance against chemical substances without any surface coating.

Static calculation for load resistance 900 kN is based on national norms implemented by the European norms (EUROCODE 2 based on ONEORM B 2503).

K.M.C uses concrete with high resistance to sulphate, classified according norm UNI 9156 and rich of C2S and C4AF in order to resist to aggressive waters with a high content of salt. In order to avoid expansive phenomenon caused by chemical compounds of sulfatic water and tricalcium aluminate, the concrete is free of C3A in order to grant the highest resistance to sulphate and acidic waters. Therefore the duct is especially suitable in contact with glycerides such as oil and grease . Furthermore the concrete has a proven chemical resistance to mineral oil after having carried out crushing tests according to EN 858 which means immersion with below mentioned liquids for 1000 hours:

-demineralized water at a temperature of (40 ± 2) °C

-heating oil according to ISO 8217, designation ISO-F-DMA, at a temperature of(23 ± 2) °C;

-unleaded fuels according to EN 228 at a temperature of (23 ± 2) °C;

-a mixture of below mentioned at a temperature of (40 ± 2) °C,:-90% (m /m) demineralized water;

-0,75% (m /m) sodium hydroxide;

-3,75% (m /m) sodium orthophosphates ;

-0,50% (m /m) sodium silicate;

-3,25% (m /m) sodium carbonate;

Quite the contrary to other ducts on the market which needs a concrete backfill, the K.M.C. duct can be installed directly on a stabilized soil.

The ducts have a production length of 5,00 meters and heights starting with 60 cm up to 1,20.
