Aquafilt-Heavy Metal filtration systems

The effluents coming out from streets often polluted with organic substances such as PAK, mineral oil and BTX, and inorganic substances such as heavy metals. In order to protect properly our environment it is very important to treat the effluents coming out from streets with high density of traffic before dumping them into rivers or into the ground. For this purpose K.MC. together with his Austrian partner and the University for Environment and Ground Protection has developed a special water treatment plant with filtration. Thanks to different kind of filtering mediums and several security systems the Aquafilt plant achieves higher performances and more security in case of breakdowns.

Elimination of PAH up to 89%, mineral oil al up to 96% (total hydrocarbon), heavy metals such as copper up to 77% and zinc up to 76%, as well as the removal of the total charge of non-dissolved heavy metals has been proven. By most part of the experiment the values of cadmium were below the limits of quantification. All filterable substances were removed at 92 %;
