KMC plants are designed to make these operations as easy as possible and to achieve the maximum permissible period.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Heavy metals in particular cause irreversible damage to our water resources. To this must be added the threat of possible accidents from lorries transporting hazardous materials (chemical materials of all kinds).<\/p><p class=\"p1\">KMC, deals with water conveyance and treatment systems. Over the last 20 years, we have been devoting particular attention to the treatment of rainwater from road platforms. Our passion, combined with the high level of professionalism that characterises our activity, has so far allowed us to acquire important orders with the most important road operators. The following is the full text of point 6 of the standard, which must in any case be adhered to.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">6. OPERATION, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE<\/p><p class=\"p1\">All parts to be regularly maintained must be accessible at all times. The system must be maintained at least every six months by qualified personnel. Maintenance must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer&#8217;s instructions, but must at least include the following:<\/p><p class=\"p1\">(a) SEDIMENTATOR<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; determination of sludge volume;<\/p><p class=\"p1\">(b) SEPARATOR<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; measurement of the thickness of light liquids<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; function check of the automatic closing device<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; permeability check of the coalescing device, if the water levels in front of and behind the coalescing device show a signi\ufb01cant difference<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; function check of the warning device;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-29ca7111\" data-id=\"29ca7111\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2f05f0dc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2f05f0dc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">(c) SAMPLING COLUMN<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; cleaning of the drainage channel.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Light liquid and sludge must be removed as required. Before commissioning, the settling tank and separator must be filled with clean water.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Note: It is recommended that the separator be emptied when half of the sludge volume or 80% of the storage capacity is reached.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">In exceptional circumstances, when personnel are required to enter the separator, the separator must be completely drained and well ventilated. The regulations\/decrees for the prevention of accidents and the handling of hazardous materials must be observed.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">At intervals of up to five years, the separator must be emptied and subjected to a general inspection including the following:<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; tightness of the plant<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; structural condition;<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; internal linings, if present;<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; condition of integrated parts;<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; condition of electrical systems and devices;<\/p><p class=\"p1\">&#8211; adjustment control of the automatic closing device, e.g. of floating bodies.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Cleaning and maintenance records must be kept and made available to the authorities upon their request and must contain observations on speci\ufb01c events.
