The slurry is treated mechanically as most of the solid substances are retained. Suspended substances collect on the surface, while settleable substances become sludge. Through the outlet pipe, the sewage flows into the feed sump. The mechanical pre-treatment tank is constructed using precast reinforced concrete so as to ensure a perfect seal.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>A self-supporting tank constructed from 5 5-mm thick polyethylene sheets is used to perfectly seal the ground. Drainage and outlet pipes are inserted into the tank, and the heights of the individual filter layers are pre-marked. The sewage is evenly distributed through a star-shaped distribution device. The structuring of the 4 filter layers according to OENORM B 2505 is carried out on site. Biological treatment takes place by means of microorganisms growing in the filters and the use of oxygen. Thanks to the sown plants, the permeability of the filter for slurry and oxygen is maintained.<\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"azzurro\">ADVANTAGES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Operation without electricity, therefore no energy costs<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Very high efficiency<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Completely odourless<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Manufactured in accordance with OENORM B 2502<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Two serial operating modes (high organic load\/low organic load)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p><strong class=\"azzurro\">FISH PASS &#8211; A VALUABLE AID FOR THE ACQUATIC WORLD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two fundamental aspects must be taken into consideration when constructing a fish pass. The entrance must be easily detectable for fish, so a so-called \u2018lure current\u2019 must be created. This means that the speed of the main current that attracts the fish will have to be adapted to the individual type of fish and the required flow speed that the fish approach but are not thrown back with the flow. The second aspect is that the passage of the land substrate (river bed) will have to be guaranteed.
